It has hosted many music, boxing and mixed martial arts events.
It has also hosted the Latin Grammy Awards in 2007 and from 2009 to 2011. The Mandalay Bay Events Center will host the Latin Grammys again in 2012. VH1 held the first two Rock Honors ceremonies in this facility in 2006 and 2007.
The arena also hosted Crüe Fest on August 1, 2008.
As of November 2011 the Mandalay Bay Events Center has held twenty-one UFC events. Starting with UFC 33, and most recently, UFC 137.
It played host to 311's biennial 3-11 Day concert on March 11, 2010. The band played 4 sets with 60 songs total.
The arena also hosted the 2010 revival of the Lilith Fair on July 9.
It hosted the Miss Universe pageant on August 23, 2010.
The Events Center is also notable for hosting boxing matches, including the high profile Amir Khan vs. Zab Judah Light Welterweight unification clash on July 23, 2011
The Cast of Glee (TV series) will be going there on the first stop on their Glee Live! In Concert! tour on May the 21st 2011.
