12 April 1944 ), née Lisa Anne Bronowski, is a Britishhistorian of theearly modern period . She is professor ofRenaissance Studies and Director of the Centre for Editing Lives and Letters atQueen Mary, University of London , and is Chair of theHuman Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA).
