Initially (
1976 )Bath's sports facilities were centred around what is now known as the Founder's Hall, which includes:

* a small fitness suite (closed in 2006 as the Department of Sports Development did not have the budget to provide the free gym with staff supervision)
* four squash courts
* a 25-metre indoorswimming poolAs well as a number of outdoor pitches.
Expansion (
1992 )In 1992 a 50-metre indoor
swimming pool, outdoor athletics track, an indoor tennis hall and an outdoor rifle and pistol range were constructed.Controversy surrounds the indoor pool as it is not to Olympic specification. Although the pool is 50m long, once the tiles were added to the walls the pool became two tile widths short of 50m so all times can not be counted as valid.ports Training Village (
