Torresol Energy

Torresol Energy is a joint venture between Sener Aeronáutica (60%) and Masdar Initiative (40%). [ [http://www.torresolenergy.com/en/proyecto-empresa.html] ] It develops solar power tower plants with molten salt technology and parabolic trough power plants.

Torresol Energy is planning three solar power plants in Spain with an approximate combined value of E800 million, one of which will be a CSP Central Tower Receiver System, the Gemasolar 2006 project [ [http://www.solarpaces.org/Tasks/Task1/Solar_Tres.htm Solar tres] ] . The Gemasolar 2006 project is known under the name Solar Tres. This technology will feature the first-ever commercial deployment of this innovative technology, and will "set the standards for anticipated CSP projects across the Sunbelt countries by 2012".
