The squadron flew antisubmarine patrols between December
1941 and October1942 before going on to fly combat missions in theEuropean Theater of Operations from,24 May 1944 -20 April 1945 . The 91st has flown worldwide air refueling operations from,1950 -1987 , and since1988 . Crews and aircraft from the 91st deployed toSoutheast Asia to refuel tactical aircraft andB-52 Stratofortress es involved in combat inVietnam from, January1965 -December1975 . It refueled aircraft participating in the Grenada rescue mission between October and November1983 . The squadron also supported U.S. operations during the1991 Gulf War . It performed aerial refuelings for bombers, airlift, and fighter aircraft as part of Tanker Task Force (TTF) around the world from,1992 -1995 . On1 October 1996 the 91st relocated with aerial refueling aircraft fromMalmstrom Air Force Base ,Montana toMacDill Air Force Base ,Florida .
