Project Manager Command Posts
Project Manager Command Posts provides a Standardized Integrated Command Posts System (SICPS) as well as a variety of radio systems to keep our land forces connected all across the battle spectrum, helping them to better understand the total operational environment, more efficiently engage the enemy, protect each other, and assist commanders to reduce friendly fire. The radios and communication systems PM Command Posts provides are deployed all over the United States in state Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) to help ensure continuity of communications during severe disasters, through Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) National Guard modernization actions.
Army Terrestrial Communications & International Networks (ATC&IN)
Army Terrestrial Communications & International Networks (ATC&IN) provides secure wireless communications between Soldier’s vehicles. It provides Internet network management capabilities, as well as integrated voice video and data services. It also allows for Beyond Line-Of-Sight (BLOS) transmission capability, meaning that Soldiers can communicate with each other even if they are not in the same area and if they can not see each other’s location.
Battle Command Network and Support Directorate (BCN&SD)
Battle Command Network and Support Directorate (BCN&SD) is the managing agent for the initiatives and programs responsible for coordinating, delivering, and supporting Army equipment on the battlefield. Through their Unit Set Fielding (USF) process, which manages the distribution of equipment to the battlefield, and their Single Interface to the Field (SIF) process, which monitors issues with equipment and the need for technical support, BCN&SD ensures that they are overseeing the process from beginning to end.
Battlefield Video Teleconference (BVTC)
Battlefield Video Teleconference (BVTC) allows Soldiers and their Commanders to communicate with each other through a virtual face-to-face meeting using a laptop, camera and microphone. With this capability, Commanders can easily and more effectively instruct Soldiers, find out critical information, and maintain near real-time awareness of what is happening on the battlefield.
Command Post Systems and Integration (CPS&I)
Command Post Systems and Integration (CPS&I) is responsible for taking all of the Command, Control, Communications, Computer Intelligence and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) equipment that is used in a Tactical Operations Center (TOC), or Command Post, and placing them into platforms. These platforms provide standardized equipment and instructions that allow for easy setup, operation and maintenance of each TOC.
Common Hardware Systems (CHS)
Common Hardware Systems (CHS) is a collection of hardware and software items that are retrofitted for combat. These items, through CHS, are acquired, fielded (distributed to Soldiers in combat), and supported if it needs repair. Items include servers, laptops, display screens and Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) that allow Soldiers to communicate with each other, resulting in a more successful completion of their mission.
Mounted Battle Command On The Move (MBCOTM)
Mounted Battle Command On The Move (MBCOTM) is a kit that is integrated into Army vehicles that allows Soldiers to communicate and receive information while in motion at the same speed and efficiency they would have if stationary. The kit contains antennas, a modem and radios that allow for this communication to be secure and in near real time.
Tactical Radio Communication Systems (TRCS)
Tactical Radio Communication Systems (TRCS) supplies the voice and data network for the battlefield. It allows Soldiers to securely communicate with each other on and off the battlefield and with mission commanders using a variety of secure Army radios.
Technical Management Division (TMD) In support of Product Directorate Army Watercraft Systems (AWS)
PM Command Posts manages the Command Control Communications Computer & Intelligence/Communication, Electronics and Navigation (C4I/CEN) equipment on behalf of the Product Director of Army Watercraft Systems (PD AWS) which will include implementing a Sustainment Strategy. PM Command Posts will implement the acquisition and contractor support for maintenance operations, analyzing platform components for proper configuration management, and the development and management of C4I/CEN maintenance and logistical processes to support designated CONUS and OCONUS units of AWS Current Fleet worldwide.
