The Korouni dialect (Kurdish: کرونی), is a Southwestern Iranian language but close to Kurdish. The speakers of Korouni live in scattered pockets in Southern Iranian Fars province around Shiraz, Sepidan and Kazerun. *long: ā, ē, ō

Consonants

*fricative: ð, like in, 'peðar' (father).
*voiced velar fricative: ɣ, like in 'tiɣ' (thorn).
*alveolar trill: like in 'borra' (flail).
*palatal: 'g' and 'k', like in 'gilas' (cherry) and 'goruk' (hank of yarn) for 'k'.
