Biography

Inlite is an alternative rock band that was started in March of 2007. Inlite had had a rocky start, with members that couldn't commit to the band's demanding schedule. It had always had Griffin Smith (lead guitar) and Jordan Dixon (lead vocals/guitar) from the very start. Then Josh Little (drums) and Nick Kelly (bass) were picked up along the way and the band took on the name Vega. After about a year of numerous shows the band realized that the name "Vega" wasn't original enough, due to there being multiple Vegas, few of them achieving true fame. This caused Vega to change their name to Inlite. As of May, 2008 Inlite had recently introduced a new member to the band, Lee Becker, who plays keyboard. In March 2008, Inlite participated in, and won, the HSBC Arena Battle of the Bands. As a prize, Inlite got the chance to play at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery for the Music is Art Festival featuring Robby Takac of the Goo-Goo Dolls, and Ryan Miller and Drew Stafford of the Buffalo Sabres on September 13, 2008.

Influences

The band cites its major influences as Wolfmother, Jet, Arctic Monkeys, The Decemberists, We Are Scientists, Franz Ferdinand, The Beatles, and Muse.
