Anglican Portal St Audoen within Newgate was a mediaeval church in the City of London [ [http://www.theclergydatabase.org.uk/print/City.html Clergydatabase] ] situated just north of Newgate Street in what is now Warwick Lane [“The Old Churches of London” Cobb,G: London, Batsford, 1942] . First mentioned as "Parochia sancti Audoeni" ["A Dictionary of London" Harben,H: London, Herbert Jenkins, 1918] , it was demolished at the time of the Dissolution of the Monasteries and the parish united with those of St Nicholas Shambles and St Sepulchre-without-Newgate [ [http://eagle.cch.kcl.ac.uk:8080/cce/locations/CreateLocationFrames.jsp?locKey=11564 Destroyed at dissolution] ]
