- Tallgrass Film Festival
The Tallgrass Film Festival is an annual film festival held in
Wichita ,Kansas . It was founded in 2003 by the late Timothy Gruver, and is operated by the non-profit organizationWichita Association For the Motion Picture Arts . It is a four-day, richly diverse independent film festival, open to the public, and screens roughly 50 shorts and features each year.The festival takes place at several locations in the heart of downtown Wichita including the Warren Old Town theater. In 2007 over 6,000 people attended. Since its creation in 2003, over 20,000 people have attended with approximately 200 filmmakers and guests coming in for the festival from all over the world.
