ANITA grade

ANITA grade

The ANITA grade refers to the evolutionary grade comprising the plant taxa "Amborella", Nymphaeaceae and Austrobaileyales. These are thought to be the most basal angiosperm lineages, and so are of immense interest to systematic botanists.
