Luxomni (
Latin , meaning "light [for] all") was a smallcommunity between central and southwesternGwinnett County , Georgia, on arailroad line just east-northeast of Lilburn. It was founded in1891 around a rail depot, on the line to Lawrenceville, thecounty seat . The town has largely been absorbed into Lilburn and greater Gwinnett County, and is no longer part of the localvernacular .It had its own
post office , aMasonic lodge , ageneral store , and aBaptist church .Luxomni Baptist Church , founded in1895 , is still active today. The decaying ruins of the general store can still be found standing near the corner of Luxomni Road and Arcado Road, next to the church.Luxomni Road continues to be its primary identifier.
