Chinese neo-charismatic house churches are Chinese house churches within the Renewal, which are neither pentecostal nor see themselves as charismatic. These house churches have millions of members overall.[1][2] There is martyrdom of Christians.[3] The situation of Christians is different within different areas.[4] House churches in China have to register with the Religious Affairs Bureau.[3] If a house church is registered, it has to limit its activity to Sunday worship.[3] The maximum number of persons allowed by law for gatherings is 25. [5] Protestant house churches tend to be tolerated. [5] The number of house churches in China is increasing.[5]
