Tom Morgan is a comic book artist known primarily for his work on Marvel Comics' "Captain America", "The Punisher 2099" and "Iron Man".

He also had the odd distinction of both preceding and succeeding John Byrne as artist on a number of titles (including "West Coast Avengers" and "Sensational She-Hulk") when Byrne left those books.

Biography

Morgan broke into the industry in the early 1980s and worked on a large number of Marvel titles, mostly as a fill-in artist, for such books as "Captain America", "Star Brand", "West Coast Avengers", "Star Trek", and "Power Pack". In the mid-1990s, he worked on "Punisher 2099" and "Iron Man" for Marvel; and "Extreme Justice" and both the "Action Comics" and "Adventures of Superman" titles for DC Comics.

Recently, IDW Publishing announced that Morgan would be drawing the comic book version of Barack Obama's biography, to be released in the fall of 2008. [Twiddy, David. "McCain, Obama get the comic book treatment, " Associated Press (July 30, 2008).]
