The Spiritual Business Network (SBN) is a non-profit NGO which was founded 17th of November 2005 with the intention of creating a network able to bring together business people, political leaders and economists from all over the world, in order to lay down the foundation from which the new, transformed and unified world will emerge. The initiative is a response to a need for a forum for people desiring change in the world. It's a network of people who work together in a joint effort to bring more light, unselfish love and the will to good into the world of business, politics and economy. This will build a global society with equal opportunities for everyone and a world in peace.

The purpose of Spiritual Business Network is to make business, economy and politics more conducive to:

* ensuring the well-being of nature
* supplying all members of the human family with that which is needed for the health and vitality of the physical body
* surrounding all human beings with the atmosphere within which the good qualities and characteristics within them can develop into full flowering
* giving every individual their freedom – equality of opportunity insofar as education, culture, creativity, beauty, and harmony are concerned – in order to achieve the greatest possible growth and development of their inner potential
* providing every person with the opportunity to make their conscious contribution to a better world

Background & Vision

It is as if a new evolutionary impulse has begun to influence life on Earth – an energy, which everywhere stimulates the development of a more holistic and inclusive consciousness, and which exerts a constant pressure on us all to manifest our innermost impulses, convictions and highest ideals in daily life and in society. In any case, in recent years there are significantly increased numbers of men and women of good will and true understanding who have begun to put into practice the ideas and values to which they aspire and which they love in theory.

However, there is still a good stretch of road to be travelled until we achieve a global society and an economic order that provide every being on this planet with that which is most conducive to their growth and development of consciousness and the unfoldment of their divine potential. The current economic systems of the world do not adequately or fairly take care of the needs of the people. This is not primarily the fault of the leaders, as one might believe, or even of the systems themselves. It is the fault of the selfish interests and desires of the people which have created unfair practices, and which are often represented in the leadership.

Where then is the cause of lack and discontent to be found, and where must the correcting effort begin? The answer is: With individuals, businesses, communities, and nations, in that order. But it is not easy to take the stand of fairness, of truth, and of true service in a world where business practices contrary to the good of the many are condoned and justified as necessary. "After all, it's just good business," has become the standard rationalization common to all. Somewhere, someone (in substantial numbers) must find the courage and the "will-to-serve" necessary to take that stand, and intelligently apply the "law of love" to all human relationships.

Fortunately, the ranks of these "world servers" are growing rapidly. But many more are needed if we are to succeed in the creation of unity, peace, plenty, and true happiness for all beings on earth. Many men and women of good will and true understanding are, however, either ridden by fear or by a feeling of futility, and by the realization that the work to be done is so stupendous that their small, isolated efforts are utterly useless to break down the barriers of separation and greed.

How, then, shall order be restored? How can we anchor the new "impulse" and spread the note of true responsibility and spirituality into the business world, and the world be brought to a condition in which there is just and right sufficiency for all? By the united action of the men and women of good will and true understanding in the fields of business, economy and politics all over the world. By building a network of visionary and spiritually aware business people, economists and politicians who know the true role of business, and who will carry the vision for an "economy of need" and for international unity and sharing. A network that gathers all these individuals and creates an integrated and highly potent global “group field” – field of consciousness, uniting the divine and humanity and stimulating each participant, and everyone else who think and dream alike, in their efforts to embody the divine, that offsets the sense of weakness and of futility of the isolated effort, and brings to all involved the needed power and inspiration for their service work.

The maintenance of such a network or field requires a conscious inner focus held by the participants, through meditation, visualisation and linking subjectively with other group members. A practice that offers an understanding for activity-oriented servers on how to work from the causal level of creation through inner understanding and techniques, and stimulates the practitioners to go deeper within themselves, so their efforts become of even greater benefit to others. It also requires external activities that support the development of the consciousness of individual participants and the collective group field, alongside projects and initiatives that practically and concretely refine current practice in business, economy and politics.

It is the vision of Spiritual Business Network to become such a network and establish such activities, to synthesise the work needed and coordinate it, whilst giving the widest latitude to each participant.
