"Blue Mars" is an online massively multiplayer virtual world (MMVW or MMOG) developed by the Hawaiian game studio Avatar Reality featuring a virtual world comparable to Second Life. Very little information hs been released about this game. We only know that the scene will take place in a terraformed Mars in the year 2177 AD. A teaser trailer video [ [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62IAm33zixU Teaser trailer of the game on YouTube] ] has just been released and it shows an apparent big world with fine graphics. A beta is scheduled for the end of 2008.

Avatar Reality announced that they have selected StreamBase Systems’ Complex Event Processing (CEP) technology as a key infrastructural component for the building of Blue Mars. The StreamBase engine will allow Avatar Reality to build server applications such as behavior analysis and data-driven intelligent systems for Blue Mars.
