"Falsilunatia powelli" is a deepwater species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Naticidae.

Distribution

This species is endemic to New Zealand, found off the coast of Otago, and around the Chatham Islands.

Habitat

This species is found at depths of between 400 and 640 m.

Description

The solid shell is , taller than wide. The aperture is , and the parietal callus is thick and spreading.

Coloration is white, sometimes with faint irregular reddish-brown markings, and traces of a pale olive-brown periostracum.

The shell height is up to 18 mm, and width is up to 16.5 mm.
