- Northern Link, Brisbane
The Northern Link Tunnel is the proposed fourth of five components of
Brisbane City Council ’sTransApex Project. In general, the project involves a bored tunnel from the Western Freeway inToowong to the Inner City Bypass at Kelvin Grove. The tunnel will be approximately 5.5 km long and will be a tolled tunnel. Environmental Impact Statement due to be released for public comment in September 2008. If approved, construction is expected to commence in late 2009, and the tunnel open for traffic by 2014. The project will be constructed and operated as apublic-private partnership (PPP).Related documents
