The NSW State Heritage Register is a heritage register administered by the Heritage Branch of the New South Wales Department of Planning. It is based in Parramatta.
The register itself was created in 1999 and lists contains over 20,000 statutorily-listed heritage items in New South Wales. This includes items protected by heritage schedules to local environmental plans (LEPs), regional environmental plans (REPs) or by the State Heritage Register. The items include buildings, landscapes, gardens, Aboriginal sites, shipwrecks, church organs and ferries, as well as many other types of unique or significant items.
