Greenbush, Minnesota , the privately owned company has promoted its product line as an environmentally-friendlyrenewable energy alternative to traditional oil- and gas-based furnaces.In 2007, Central Boiler signed a partnership agreement with the
United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to promote the manufacture and sale of clean-burning outdoor wood furnaces. Central Boiler was the first company whose products qualified for the EPA Outdoor Wood-fired Hydronic Heaters (OWHH) program.
