Carlos Bonilla

Carlos E. Bonilla is an American lobbyist, and a former advisor on economic policy to president George W. Bush. Currently he is Senior Vice President to The Washington Group.

In the aftermath of 9/11, he was responsible for ensuring that trade flows across the borders and through the ports were maintained in light of enhanced security concerns. Other responsibilities included the inter-agency working group on West Coast ports during the 2003 labor dispute, leading up to a Taft-Hartley injunction.Fact|date=August 2008

In March 2003 Bonilla rejoined the private sector as a lobbyist for The Washington Group, representing such clients as Bio Marin Pharmaceuticals and Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals.
