"Give Me a Reason" was the third single released from Brandon Paris Band's [http://www.brandonparis.com] debut album, "On My Own". The song is about a person lying in bed, who cannot sleep. He reminisces about the time when he made his mistake of deciding to break apart his own relationship because of the differences they had. But he finally realizes it was a big mistake as he keeps asking himself for the reason why he keeps missing her. (Hence the song title "Give Me a Reason"). Koch Entertainment, Brandon Paris Band's record label at the time, decided to release "Give Me a Reason" only a month after the second release of "Somebody to Hold", in hopes of getting better results than #56 on CHR Canadian Charts, but to their dismay it was not enough to reach top 40 status. "Give Me a Reason" peaked at #77CHR(tracked by Radio & Records(Billboard Information Group)). . Only a couple months later it quickly lost it's momentum on the radio once the funding towards radio promotion stopped. It was believed that the timing, and lack of funding for marketing the singles release was partially to blame.Topping off an already exceptional year, Brandon Paris Band was nominated for Best New Group or Solo Artist (CHR) by the Canadian Radio Music Awards in spring of 2007 [http://www.cmw.net/cmw2009/awards_crma.asp] . The song was added to sirius and XM satellite radio, as well as Galaxie Max Trax digital TV stations. CHUM-FM, This song was remixed and was added to several hip-hop stations in Canada including winnipegs #1 hip-hop station Flava 107.9. This was believed to be a major success on a personal level for the Brandon Paris Band.
