- Studio Kajino
Studio Kajino is a subsidiary of
Japan ese production companyStudio Ghibli . It was created prior to 2000 to handlelive action films for the studio (though it has also produced 3 animated music videos for theJ-pop group capsule) which is otherwise known for itsanimation projects, including the award-winning "Spirited Away ". Kajino is run by Ghibli's president Toshio Suzuki, and its first release wasShiki-Jitsu in 2000. In 2001, Studio Kajino co-producedKatsuyuki Motohiro's filmSatorare , but was not credited. However, the studio's involvement is acknowledged through an extra feature on the R3 dvd, entitled "Ghibli Studio".The name of the studio appears to be based on or inspired by Ghibli's postal address (which is or was 1-4-25, Kajino-cho, Koganei-shi, 184 according to the [http://www.nausicaa.net/miyazaki/ghibli/ Nausicaa.net] fan site, and recently confirmed more specifically at Tokyo 184-0002 on the [http://www.asianfilms.org/japan/catreturn.html Asian Films] site).
