Concerned Citizens United Against Drugs and Terrorism

Concerned Citizens United Against Drugs and Terrorism (CCUADAT) is an ultraconservative organization operating within the United States. According to their mission statement, CCUADAT "...exists for the sole purpose of providing concerned citizens with greater political influence." The organization is known for having little structure and its claim to have no official agenda. A small group of members maintains the website and office, but otherwise the organization is completely decentralized and relies on the contributions of unconnected, and often anonymous, individuals. According to their former website, any United States citizen is free to claim membership in Concerned Citizens United Against Drugs and Terrorism, even without the knowledge or consent of the CCUADAT office. The CCUADAT website contained all the materials and resources for members, which were available for any visitor to download or view. Although the organization claims to have no agenda, the materials available on their website were clearly to be used by conservatives.

Influence and controversy

Concerned Citizens United Against Drugs and Terrorism describes itself as a not-for-profit lobbyist organization, although its not-for-profit status is not recognized by the United States and the organization does not limit itself to lobbying. Although CCUADAT is virtually unknown to most politicians and their constituents, some members of Congress and the Executive branch have reportedly been influenced by their members.http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/260743255/ Small Organizations Make Big Impact (7 July 2005.)]

The members that operate the office and website use pseudonyms and do not come into contact with other members, which has lead to the organization being labeled as a conspiracy. Springmeier, Fritz. "Be Wise as Serpents". 1991.] Concerned Citizens United Against Drugs and Terrorism addressed this allegation on their former website, claiming that the nature of their organization prevented contact between members and expressed outrage at being labeled "Freemasonry for hillbillies."
