- Greece–Latvia relations
Greek-Latvian relations are foreign relations between
Greece andLatvia . Greece recognised the State of Latvia onMay 23 ,1922 , and diplomatic relations between the two countries were restored onSeptember 2 ,1991 . Greece has never officially recognised the annexation of the Baltic states by theUSSR .The Latvian embassy inAthens was established in 1998, and the Greek embassy inRiga was opened inJanuary 2005. Latvia also has two honorary consuls in Greece (one inAthens and one inThessaloniki ).Both countries are full members ofNATO and theEuropean Union .See also
