The Eddystone Hotel is an hotel located in Detroit, Michigan at 100-118 Sproat Street.

Significance

The Eddystone is one of three hotels located on Park Avenue and designed by Louis Kamper [http://books.google.com/books?id=sZGskamYzjUC Eric J. Hill, John Gallagher, American Institute of Architects Detroit Chapter,] "AIA Detroit", Wayne State University Press, 2002, ISBN 0814331203, 9780814331200, p. 60] for Lew Tuller; [http://www.mcgi.state.mi.us/hso/sites/12437.htm Royal Palm Hotel] from the State of Michigan] the other two are the Royal Palm Hotel at 2305 Park Avenue and the Park Avenue Hotel at 2643 Park Avenue (across Sproat from the Eddystone). All three are on the National Register of Historic Places.

Current use

At one time, the Eddystone was used as a homeless shelter. As of 2005, it was planned to convert the Eddystone into 60 condominimums, with street-level retail space.
