The Park Avenue Hotel is an hotel located in Detroit, Michigan at 2643 Park Avenue.

Significance

The Park Avenue is one of three hotels located on Park Avenue and designed by Louis Kamper [http://books.google.com/books?id=sZGskamYzjUC Eric J. Hill, John Gallagher, American Institute of Architects Detroit Chapter,] "AIA Detroit", Wayne State University Press, 2002, ISBN 0814331203, 9780814331200, p. 60] for Lew Tuller; [http://www.mcgi.state.mi.us/hso/sites/12437.htm Royal Palm Hotel] from the state of Michigan] the other two are the Eddystone Hotel at 100 Sproat St. (across Sproat from the Park Avenue) and the Royal Palm Hotel at 2305 Park Avenue. All three are on the National Register of Historic Places.

Current use

At one time, the Park Avenue was used by the Salvation Army as their Harbor Lights Center homeless shelter.
