Witness (born John Parr) is an American rapper and hip hop producer from Morrisville, PA [ [http://www.caughtinthecrossfire.com/music/themix/567 The Mix, Music Zine Review] ] .

Biography

Witness started making music at the age of fifteen [ [http://phillyedge.com/node/4492 Philly Edge] ] and has grown from a high school kid aspiring to b-boy and emcee to an internet phenomenon with a rabidly loyal fanbase and now a record distribution deal with Rockwell Product Shop in Japan. Witness is the founder of a hip-hop and artistry collective known as Recollective; initially conceived a record label, it grew into a network of artists across the nation [ [http://www.musicgeek.org/wp/2005/10/17/an-interview-with-witness#more-51 Witness Interview at Music Geek] ] , including the producer Emancipator. He is hard at work completing his debut Japanese record, a compilation of songs from Evermore and Ever Since, as well as putting the finishing touches on a soon to be released collaboration with producer Mob Robb from Yuma, AZ [ [http://www.myspace.com/witness Witness Myspace Blog] ] .
