Chauncey Lamont Hawkins (born June 20, 1975 in Harlem, New York) better known by his stage name Loon, is an African-American rapper formerly part of P. Diddy's Bad Boy Records, where he released his self-titled debut album, "Loon". He has also made many guest appearances on songs of the R&B and hip hop genres. In 2004, Loon left Bad Boy to start his own label, Boss Up Entertainment. Loon started his music career as a member of Mase's rap collective Harlem World (group). Along with his music Loon has also been featured in two movies directed by Damon Dash, State Property 2 and Death of a Dynasty.

Feud with Mase and Jim Jones

Loon started the feud with Mase due to the fact that he was ashamed of Mase's actions of leaving rap for religion. On the Bad Boys II soundtrack Loon made a song with Snoop Dogg titled "Gangsta Shit" where he calls him a coward. On the mixtape "Streetwars 15", Loon raps over Young Jeezy's hit single "Soul Survivor" in a son U Not a Ryder, where he calls Mase a male prostitute. Loon recorded a song over 50 Cent's "Window Shopper", titled "Dildo Hopper", where he calls Mase gay. He also criticizes him for joining G-Unit and makes dirty comments about 50 Cent and Spider Loc as well. Jim Jones commented badly on Loon on a Sub0 DVD.Loon released the album "Wizard of Harlem", which contains the track "Jimmy". It repeatedly makes derogatory remarks about Jim Jones, mentioning how Jones wants to be a gangster and tries to act hardFact|date=July 2007. The intro to Jimmy titled "Elmo", is where Loon pretending to be Sesame Street character Elmo and he calls Jones a bitch. He also recorded negative a song about both of them titled "Kill You" on the Wizard of Harlem, where he tells both rappers to give up the careers. Since then, both conflicts remain unsolved. Loon recently dissed Mase again on the song "You Know I Get Ugly".

Album with G. Dep

In 2007 Loon released an album with G. Dep called "Bad Boy". The album contains new songs as well as several songs from Wizard Of Harlem including "Jimmy" and the diss skit "Elmo."

Beef with 40 Cal

In the summer of 2006, there was an incident in a New York barber shop where Loon hit fellow harlem rapper 40 Cal in the back of the head with a shovel after the two had an argument. The two continued their argument on-air at radio station Hot 97, there, 40 Cal's girlfriend (whom was an eye witness) called in and confirmed that the incident did happen. 40 Cal later bragged about how he never got hit with the shovel, and claimed Loon was to afraid to hit him and was just looking for trouble.

Feud with J.R. Writer

Loon is now not on good terms with J.R. Writer, when J.R. recorded a song which samples Notorious B.I.G.'s song Spit Yo Game titled "Talk Yo Shit". In the song he makes negative comments about Loon's intellegence and him being broke all the time. Loon has not yet responded to the diss song, but is still not on good terms with J.R. or any of Dipset for that matter.
