Ekka (disambiguation)

Ekka (disambiguation)

*Ekka may be the annual show of Queensland, Australia. See Ekka.
*An "ekka" is a one-horse carriage used in India. "Ekkas" (the word is Hindi in origin) were something like 'traps' (of 'a pony and trap'), and were commonly used as cabs, or private hire vehicles, for example in the works of Rudyard Kipling. An "ekka" is defined by the Kipling Society ( [http://www.kipling.org.uk/bookmart_fra.htm] ) as "an Indian gig or two-wheeled light carriage with an awning".
