Second World War , LINDY re-opened in1947 in the Lindenberg’s new home town ofMannheim . The business expanded from the petrol lamps and simple electrical appliances that it had sold in the early days, to follow the consumer demand for radios and televisions with the introduction of KUBA radio and TV furniture into the LINDY range. The sixties marked the beginning of a change in LINDY’s product range with the introduction of self-assemble radios and amplifiers from Danish manufacturer, Josty. This side of the business proved very popular and by
1970 LINDY sold mainly electronic components and equipment. The LINDY logo, which is still used in similar form today, was created in the mid-seventies for the launch of a range of electronic games in conjunction with Japanese company,
Gakken .
