"We Believe in God" is a 1993 praise and worship song by Contemporary Christian Music and Pop singer-songwriter Amy Grant. It was recorded on the successful "Songs from the Loft" album on Reunion Records and released as a single to Christian radio to promote the project.

Background

During the time spent producing and releasing "Heart in Motion", Amy Grant and then-husband Gary Chapman held a number of youth gatherings in the barn on their property, where local teens would come to vent, share stories, and worship. Grant would grab her guitar and have impromptu performances and a number of praise and worship songs were written during the meetings. Those gatherings inspired the "Songs from the Loft" CD project, a compilation of praise and worship-type songs by some of the biggest names in Contemporary Christian Music. Grant recorded two new songs for the project (additionally, Gary Chapman recorded a cover of her 1991 radio hit, "Hope Set High", for the CD). Reunion Records, which distributed the CD, chose "We Believe in God" as a radio single.
