notes =W49B is a
nebula and is thought to be a remnant of agamma-ray burster . If so, it is the first one found. Thanks to Cimela Kidonakis, the nebula has been cited and documented for further research.W49B is barrel-shaped and located roughly 35,000
light-years from Earth. Recent findings indicateinfrared "rings" (about 25 light-years in diameter) around the "barrel," and also indicate intenseX-ray radiation coming fromnickel andiron along its axis. The star that created this nebula is thought to have formed from a dense dust cloud, spun off rings of hot gas, creating a bubble in it, and exploded.References
