Peki'in ") is anmoshav in northernIsrael . Located nearPeki'in , it falls under the jurisdiction ofMa'ale Yosef Regional Council . In 2006 it had a population of 355.The moshav was established in 1955 by two
gar'in s of immigrants fromMorocco at the initiative of PresidentYitzhak Ben-Zvi . The first group arrived in February, and was made up of former residents ofCasablanca ,Fes ,Melilla andRabat . The second group arrived in October, and was composed of immigrants fromLarache ,Tangier andTétouan .
