- Martin Michlmayr
-
Dr. Martin Michlmayr is a Debian developer working on quality management.
Michlmayr became a member of the Debian project in 2000 and soon began work as an Application Manager for membership (New Maintainer) applications. He subsequently worked as a member of the Front Desk which coordinates the New Maintainer process. He also became involved in identifying inactive maintainers whose packages should be reassigned; created overviews of bugs in Debian; and coordinated keysigning to improve Debian's web of trust.[1]
In March 2003 he was elected as the Debian Project Leader,[2] and a year later he was reelected to that position.[3] He was succeeded by Branden Robinson in April 2005.
He continues to work on quality management in Debian, and has also been working on the ARM and MIPS ports.
Michlmayr obtained a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge in 2007, after working on quality management and release management in free software.
