Russia will be the host of the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 and will take part in the final. It is currently unknown how the host entry will be chosen.

At Eurovision

Due to Dima Bilan winning the 2008 contest, Russia is pre-qualified directly to the final along with the "Big Four" under current rules.
