Ruby Buckton is a fictional character on the soap opera "Home and Away".

She first appeared in June 2008 with her then boyfriend Pat, having dropped out of borading school. their relationship irritated her father and sister, but ended soon after her arrival. She moved in with her sister Charlie at Leah Patterson's place. Her father has developed alzheimer's, which is a great ordeal for Ruby to cope with. Having already lost her mother, it's horrible for her to watch her father go through this. She often keeps her feeling bottled up inside, and feels pressured into being strong and hiding her feelings by people around her, especially her sister.
