video game very loosely based on the film of the same name. The game was unofficially announced in the summer of 2007 to be developed byPandemic Studios as anopen world Batman game. No word was said on what kind of experience gamer would have or even which video game systems it would be available for. No word was ever heard again until the months preceding the release of The Dark Knight film. The game was confirmed, albeit not officially, on July 17, 2008 by actorGary Oldman during an interview with G4'sKristin Holt . Also, according to insiders at the Pandemic Studios office in Australia, the game has been canceled due to the game running behind schedule. But it is most likely considered that it has indeed been cancelled due to the game running behind schedule.
