The Owensboro Oilers has been the name of several baseball teams in Owensboro, Kentucky. The team played in the Kentucky-Illinois-Tennessee League in 1936 to 1942 and 1946 to 1955.[1] In 1952 the team was managed by former major league all-star Wally Berger.[2] The current team is a summer collegiate baseball team and a member the Ohio Valley Collegiate Baseball League. It plays its home games in Panther Park, located at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, Kentucky.

The Owensboro Oilers joined the KIT League in 2004. The current Manager is Aaron Biddle, current assistant coach of Brescia University.
The 2009 season will begin on Friday, May 29, at 7:05 PM.
This season will mark the first year the Oilers will be selling beer at their games.
In 2008, the Owensboro Oilers were the KIT League Playoff Champions with a record of 5-0.
In 2007, three players from the Oilers were selected for the KIT League all-star team to play against the Central Illinois Collegiate League's all-star team. Those players were: Matt Shelton, Will Devick, and Alex Love.[2]
Three players from the Oilers were selected for the KIT League 2008 all-star team. Those players were: Jon Herendeen, Joe Devine, and Kevin O'Hair.
