Barton Creek is a neighborhood located west of West Lake Hills Texas, west of the Lost Creek neighborhood, and east of the town of Bee Cave Texas. The Barton Creek neighborhood is just south of Bee Caves Road (Ranch to Market Road 2244) and west of Texas State Highway Loop 360 (Capital of Texas Highway). Barton Creek includes subdivisions such as Calera, Escala, Governor’s Hill, Mirador, North Rim, The Foothills of Barton Creek, Watersmark, and Wimberly Lane.
Anchoring the region is the 4,000 acre Barton Creek Resort and Spa. Courses designed by Austin native Ben Crenshaw, as well as Arnold Palmer and Tom Fazio make Barton Creek a must-stop for golf junkies, and from this dynasty has grown a full-service spa, conference hub and extensive tennis facility.
Mostly falling with the Eanes Independent School District, a majority of the neighborhood’s children attend Barton Creek Elementary or Forest Trail Elementary, West Ridge Middle School, and Westlake High School. Barton Creek neighbors to the southeast sent their children to Oak Hill Elementary, O’Henry Middle and Austin High School, where those to the northwestern portion send their kids to Lake Pointe Elementary and Lake Travis Middle Schools, and Lake Travis High School, all in the acclaimed Lake Travis Independent School District.
