Michael A. Kennedy

Michael A. Kennedy is an American businessman. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) and a descendant of Joseph Smith, Jr.. Kennedy has done much to unify the descendants of Joseph Smith.

Biography

Kennedy grew up in Nevada, not as a member of the LDS Church. In high school he learned of Joseph Smith and met with LDS Church missionaries. He was baptised a member of the LDS Church in 1973. He then enrolled in Southern Utah University, and was ordained an elder in the church. Shortly after his ordination, he was married to Darcy in the church's Provo Utah Temple.

Kennedy worked as an IT director for ProPay. He also serves as president of the Joseph and Emma Smith Family Association and was a trustee of Nauvoo University, which operated from 2009 to 2010.
