Michael James Kennedy (born 3 February 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Brisbane Bears in the Victorian/Australia Football League (VFL/AFL).
Kennedy was an ACT representative at the 1988 Adelaide Bicentennial Carnival, having played his early football with Queanbeyan. He spent three years in Brisbane without making much of an impact and then played in the SANFL with West Adelaide from 1991 to 1993. He resumed at Queanbeyan in 1994 and was the ACTAFL's Mulrooney Medalist that year. The following season he was appointed captain-coach and although it was his only year in charge, Kennedy continued as a player until retiring in 1997.
