Ruth Gilligan is an Irish writer and actress. She played Laura Halpin in Fair City, and is the author of the novel Forget and Somewhere in Between. She attanded St Andrews College in Bootherstown Dublin. She acheived 8 A1 grades in her leaving certificate examinations (the Irish version of the A Levels or Baccalaureat).
