- Roger Hosen
Roger Hosen (12 June 1933 - 9 April 2005) was a rugby player from
Cornwall , who won ten England caps in 1963-67. He also captained his county cricket team.cite web|url=http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/obituaries/article382226.ece|title=Roger Hosen|date=2005-04-18|work=The Times|publisher=Times Newspapers|accessdate=2008-07-22]Roger Wills Hosen was born in Mabe, and while at Falmouth Grammar School, (where one of his teachers was Jack Searle), he played for Penryn.
In 1955 he moved to Northampton, to teach at the grammar school, and was recruited to
Northampton Rugby Club . He played 250 games for the Saints, and scored 1,463 points.He became master in charge of rugby at
Cheltenham College in 1966, and to cope with timetable clashes he moved toBristol Rugby .In the 1980's he retired from teaching, and became landlord of a pub in
Stithians , turning out in his fifties for the local rugby club.His England debut was in New Zealand in 1963. He scored in all but one of his internationals, his highest scoring games being his last two, against Scotland and Wales in 1967. He also played twice for
