Arthur Paget (British Army officer)

Sir Arthur Henry Fitzroy Paget GCB GCVO (1 March 1851 – 8 December 1928) was a soldier (reaching the rank of General) and diplomat, [cite web| url=http://thepeerage.com/p3392.htm#i33913 |publisher=thepeerage.com | title=Person Page 3392| accessdate = 2006-07-04] who served in Belgrade and Ireland. During the 1870s he was a leading owner of steeplechasers. Until 1878 he used the nom de plume 'Mr Fitzroy'. Under this pseudonym, Paget wrote several novels in the Naturalist style, recounting his exploits in the military.
