Rechnoy Vokzal (Moscow Metro)

Rechnoy Vokzal (Moscow Metro)

Rechnoi Vokzal ( _ru. Речной вокзал, literally "River Station") is the northernmost station on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. Built to the standard pillar-trispan design and completed in 1964. Until 1975 it was the most northern station in Moscow. The design follows the typical "sorokonozhka" featuring white-flecked, brown marble pillars and tiled walls. The architects were N.I. Demchinsky and Yu.A. Kolesnikova. It has two identical vestibules, located at the intersection of Festivalnaya Street and the Leningrad Highway.

Like other terminal stations, Rechnoi Vokzal carries a heavy passenger load, serving around 111,000 passengers each day.
