The Lovely Eggs are a 2 piece indie band from Lancaster, United Kingdom.They consist of (recently married) couple Holly Ross and David Blackwell. Ross was formerly the lead singer and guitarist in the popular all girl band Angelica (now split). David Blackwell is also guitarist in Lancaster drone band 3D Tanx.

Career

The band formed sometime in 2006, playing nationwide shows, and gaining recognition from radio coverage on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 from DJs such as Marc Riley [ [http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/shows/brain_surgery/] Marc Riley playlist] , Huw Stephens [ [http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/huwstephens/] Huw Stephens playlist] and Steve Lamacq [ [http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/shows/steve_lamacq/] Steve Lamacq playlist] .In May of 2008, they were invited into the BBC 6 music studio to do a live session for Marc Riley's Brain Surgery show.
