Wexham is a settlement in the county of
Buckinghamshire . It is on the borders of theunitary authority ofSlough and the non-metropolitan county ofBerkshire , in southernEngland .The parish was originally very small, covering only 748 (3 km²) acres according to the 1881 and 1891 censuses. It was expanded greatly in 1934, taking in 1823 acres and about 1,000 people from the disbanded
Langley Marish parish.The
civil parish of Wexham was divided under theLocal Government Act 1972 , with the southern part becoming part of Slough and the northern part becoming part ofSouth Bucks district. The northern part now constitutes the civil parish of Wexham, with the southern part being a parish called Wexham Court. Wexham Court has a parish council with eleven members. The parish and some additional unparished territory form the three memberSlough Borough Council ward of Wexham Lea.
