The Museum Institute for Teaching Science provides resources to K-8 teachers of science, technology, engineering, and math. In cooperation with educators at science and natural history museums, MITS initiates and sponsors innovative science teaching methods at both public and private schools. By providing compendiums, teaching workshops, seminars, and an annual publication, Science is Elementary, MITS provide activities that teachers can use as a model for their classroom activities to implement curriculum.
