Dizzy (rapper)

Dizzy AKA Raw D.I. is a rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a member of Lil' Wayne's Young Money Entertainment as well as P.C.O. (Paper Chasin' Organization), a label that he co-owns and runs with DJ Raj Smoove.. He has become a major artist in his region, helping to bring many New Orleans artists to the forefront and rebuild the music scene post-Hurricane Katrina.

Background

He began his career in 1998 with the release of his first project "Unload", which was followed up in 1999 by the album "Reload". It wasn't long after that that Lil' Wayne recruited him for Sqad Up, the first group on Young Money. Dizzy was featured on all of the Sqad Up mixtapes up until the break up in 2003. It was at that time when he hooked up with Raj Smoove. They immediately put out a mixtape called "The Raw". While remaining a member of Young Money, Dizzy continued working with Raj Smoove, releasing a number of projects and forming P.C.O. Entertainment. Dizzy has also made appearances on numerous Lil' Wayne mixtapes.

Dizzy recently opened up shows for Jim Jones, Juvenile (rapper) and Rich Boy. He has performed frequently with Young Money Entertainment on such tours as the Nelly Ville tour in 2003, The Georgia Power Tower featuring Young Jeezy, T.I., and Lil Wayne in 2005, and the Young Money Entertainment tour in 2006. When Dizzy isn't touring across the country you can find him recording and performing in his hometown, using his talents to give back to his community through benefit events like Hip-Hop for Hope, raising over $6,000 for a recovering school in the 9th Ward. Dizzy is a reoccurring performer at the New Orleans House of Blues, The Venue, Caesar's, Club Dreams, and other clubs located in Baton Rouge, Houma, and Hammond Louisiana.
